Platform for mobile task and resource management

Our platform provides a powerful basis for implementing business processes with mobile, collaborative task and resource management. The platform is the result of our experience on various projects and helps resolve some basic challenges that could not be satisfactorily solved with existing technologies. In particular, the platform is suitable for highly dynamic processes such as aircraft ground handling, an application where operating conditions are in a constant state of flux and information from a large number of sources must be integrated to keep the latency of events and decisions as low as possible for those performing the work.
The platform includes server components based on a micro-service architecture, highly efficient communication protocols, and a mobile client, which together achieve highly-performant data synchronization and networking of services.

Platform services

The slim server components are designed specifically to be simple and readily deployable. They do not require cumbersome application servers and are therefore suitable for use in resource-saving process solutions with just a few mobile operators, although they can be run on a server cluster if necessary, thus meeting your need for scalability and/or high availability.

Communication protocols

Our platform's communications protocols offer highly efficient data and command transfer with maximum interoperability with legacy systems. They combine the advantages of established, open protocols and data formats such as XML and JSON with the advantages of binary protocols and data formats. While legacy services can be easily integrated via XML or JSON by using generic adapters, the platform components communicate amongst themselves without any transcoding to and from these formats required and thus transmit operating data almost entirely without redundancy. This provides valuable advantages for mobile clients: more efficient processing results directly in longer battery life, efficient transfer means lower latency and thus better interactivity, especially where data transmission standards are slower due to less-than-optimal mobile coverage.

Mobile client

The mobile client has been developed for maximum performance and security while using a minimum amount of resources. All security features such as encryption of communication with the platform services as well as the secure and easy authentication of users and resources using NFC technology are integrated directly into the client, do not require any configuration on the device, and cannot be accidentally turned off or circumvented by misconfiguration.
